UHSFX is a collective of students from the University of Hertfordshire studying model design, character creation and special effects. We have over a hundred members with a range of skills working with everything from minatures, to stop motion, costume peices to animatronics.
Our students have worked on a number of productions over the years including Band of Brothers, various Harry Potter films, the stage production of LOTR, Quantum of Solace, Fantastic Mr. Fox and more recently John Carter of Mars, Captain America and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. They are also regularly placed at Artem Special Effects, Machine Shop, Madame Tussaurds, Asylum Models and Effects and Hothouse IWG.
